Bio note

Carlos Fuica González is a Spanish teacher at the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences (2011). He obtained his Master's degree in Linguistics at the University of Santiago de Chile (2015). Currently, he is in the third year of the Ph.D. program in Linguistics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He has worked as a Language and Literature teacher in secondary education establishments in Santiago. At present, he works as an assistant professor at the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences, where he teaches courses in Spanish grammar, semiotics, and discourse analysis. His research focuses on political discourse in media contexts, from critical discourse studies and socio-semiotics. His research project is called Discourse Strategies in Political Interaction: The Case of Chilean TV Morning Shows (2019-2020).
